I went to the gunstore in search of a .22 DA revolver, but the Ruger SA caught my eye.Now I own a .22 revolver, haven't tried the WMR cylinder yet,but I plan on trying it today.

You are going to love this one! They are accurate, reliable, and reasonably priced. .22 mag. comes in handy once in a while too. You have made a great choice, ENJOY!!

I've had one for going on 45 years now. It was the first hand gun I ever owned. I still love to shot it.

I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop or throw a rock at 1200 fps.

Good choice. A real fun gun, and built like a tank!

Ruger revolvers are solid for sure and the classic single action series appeals to some. If you decide to look for a DA eventually (you can't have just one you know ) I have a Taurus Tracker .22mag DA revolver that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and shoots very well. It has adjustable sights and is 9 shots. Makes for a nice woods gun.

I've owned one for as long as I can remember it’s a mated pair with a 44 Blackhawk. I got from my father. It eats all ammo and never misses. The greatest shot I've ever made was with the single six, jackrabbit 150yards free hand atop a moving quad. I could never make this shot again if I tried. Some great ammo for it is the Hornady 30grain V-max Remington also packages and sells it for the same price roughly. Enjoy the gun it'll outlast you.
I support PETA, People for the Eating of Tasty Animals. Delicious!!!

I understand those amazing shots one can never duplicate. When I was about 10,our neighbor's dog kept trespassing, and after a long time of chasing it off,one day I chased it and it got away-then I picked up a stone, pulled out my wristrocket, and no joke-this dog was on the move about 100 yards away.I aimed at about 45 degrees and let loose.About 5 seconds later that dog's tail tucked in with a loud YIPE!I will never forget that shot.

I have a Ruger 22mag single six that I bought in 1971. The "old model" type. I use it mostly for hunting snowshoe rabbits. It has a nine inch barrel and is very accurate. Or as accurate as I can make it. It's a great gun. I have always used CCI maxi-mag. ammo. Its a bit of an over kill for rabbits but I just like shooting with mags in it. And if I were ever in the mood I could probably take a white tail with it.

My grand father has one. It's his all purpose critter getter. Fine little gun. Handles well and shoots strait with either cylinder.

My dad has a Damascus .22 revolver (I think that is the name) and it is a 9 or 8 shot, It is a very good gun, accurate and has never had a fowl-up of any kind. Just thought you might want to know.

My dad owns one - first pistol I ever shot in my life. Great piece, VERY solidly built. However, the Heritage Arms Rough Rider is pretty close to the same deal, and for only half the price (or less, depending on where you get it). The Ruger seems to have a slightly tighter and more refined fit and finish, but for the money, the RR is a dang good next-best-thing. In either gun, the .22 WMR's are LOUD, but fun as heck to shoot.

I think, although I don't know you, I will through the flag on that. With a rifle it would be a hard enough shot but with a single action revolver with a long (time wise and distance) hammer drop? I don't think so...

I cant pull a 150 yard(450ft) shot, with a handgun, freehand with out a moving quad let alone atop one.
