I have a puma Carbine in 45 Long colt , I was wondering if I can shoot 45 S&W in it so I can get 10 rds in the magazine instead of 9 +1 in the shoot , anyone know if this will work Thanks T

BTW I have tried the spring cutting thing that was suggested by another fellow but to No avail only bought me about 1/4 in longer room ,T

Probably, I met a guy one time who was trimming his .45 colt brass down to 45 acp length. He was a gamer looking for a safe way to load reduced blackpowder loads. They ran through his guns fine.

The 45 S&W can be fired in a 45 Colt chambered gun. The 45 S&W was the same round used in the Scofield revolvers that was issued to the US Calvery back in the old days. When the Army had to decide between the Colt SAA or the S&W Scofield it kept the Colt. The Army continued to issue 45 S&W ammo until the stock was exhausted. Had the Army chosen the Scofield as its handgun the 45 Colt ammo they had in stock would not have worked in the Scofields.
